So... If there are a few things that have become morning rituals of sorts, one of them is waking up to have a cup of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee with sweet cream. Maybe it's the fact that I seldom drink coffee this way except for when I'm in Jamaica...... or maybe it has something to do with being a stones throw from the azure blue water.... Either way it DOES make the coffee taste better!

Before breakfast I can always count on Jerry Ann scrambling to grab her camera and see what sites are awaiting her. Sometimes it's a hummingbird species not often seen, or at other times there may be a sting ray, but rest assured if it's there to be seen, she'll find it through her cameras eye.

Another morning ritual has been seeing how Erik and Aaron take such good care of us. I asked them when we got here if they wouldn't mind setting up 3 chairs for us next to the small palm plant. Every morning, after Erik has raked the sand, and Aaron has come out with fresh towels for the day, they set up chairs with a table and an umbrella so that Jerry Ann and Gayle can have some shade after being in the hot Jamaican sun. Eric would then stop down by the waters edge to throw some bread into the water to see if there were any fish big enough to net. These guys are among the nicest people. They make coming here feel like a place that wants us back as much as we want to get back here. What a great way to start every day.
Before sitting down to breakfast we spotted a sting ray and managed to capture it on film. Little did we know that this guy makes it's way up and down the beach every morning and then back up around 11:30 am. Just like clockwork. Somehow when I'm 200 feet from shore, having a morning swim, when I see fingers pointing and people leaving the water, I have thoughts of Steve Erwin running through my head. It is always a cool sight though.
